More than a chrysalis, more than from seed to flower,
let's make the connections between fish, human, and tree.
How are we all connected?
let's make the connections between fish, human, and tree.
How are we all connected?
We have learned quite a bit of material in the last few months! First we learned about the water cycle. We learned how the earth reuses its fresh water through evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Then we tackled plant life cycles and how plants utilize that fresh water, the sun, and the earth to thrive and propagate. We just finished learning about birds and mammals and animal life cycles.
(I hope you have all been recording in your journal the daily ongoings of our soon-to-be-butterfly! Hopefully, our Great Monarch will hatch its chrysalis soon and emerge with color and vigor.)
Now, you have the knowledge, tools, and skills to take learning to that next level and are ready to embark on our WebQuest Journey! Remember that learning is not the repetition of facts, but the ability to incorporate and create ideas into a wider understanding of life.
I have carefully selected your teams, so that you can face this WebQuest challenge with courage, intellect, creativity, and determination. You each have something to offer each other and the team as a whole. Work together! Help each other be successful as a team. The Earth is counting on YOU!
Objectives: In the completion of the WebQuest, the student will:
1. Engage with material learned regarding resources in a problem solving and exigent way involving their own communities.
2. Utilize approved websites to gather information and synthesize relevant data to complete mini projects.
3. Conduct at home research with a family member to analyze the varied and international aspects that go into the production of a
single item.
